Karukachal Grama Panchayat Disaster Management Committee Meeting Held
A meeting of the Karukachal Grama Panchayat Disaster Management Committee was held on 03/08/2026 to assess the prevailing situation related to disaster management and to take necessary preparedness measures. Elected representatives and heads of offices from various departments participated in the meeting. The meeting held detailed discussions on preparedness to deal with rain-related disasters and measures to address disaster situations through coordinated efforts among various departments.
The meeting primarily noted that there were widespread situations where dangerous trees were leaning towards residential properties and electric power lines. Necessary urgent measures were therefore decided to be taken to prevent possible disaster situations.
Important Notice
Persons who have already received a notice or intimation are required to cut and remove the dangerous trees immediately. Failing this, further action will be taken in accordance with the Disaster Management Act.
The meeting decided to strengthen preparedness measures to deal with rain-related disasters and to take immediate action in disaster situations through effective coordination among various departments.
Directions were also issued to the concerned officials and the public to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
